JohnPaulT (John Paul Twarog)

A native of Arizona, born in Tempe, in early 1960’s, till about ten years old, then moved to a 30-acre ranch/farm in Tucson, in early 1970’s, My life was "Leave it to Beaver" moves to " Green Acres"! (Title of my Auto Biography, some day). From city slicker to country boy, overnight. Six kids, in 2-bedroom house, my brother and I lived in the Tack room. But we were, totally, self-sustaining on that little farm. I will leave the rest for my memoirs!

John Paul Twarog (2nd), named after my paternal grandfather, who emigrated from Poland around the 1920’s, to Michigan with my grandmother. Dad moved to Tucson after serving as a Bombardier in the Pacific theater of WW2. Mom emigrated from her hometown of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. They met and got married in Tucson in the 50’s. Later ended up in Tempe and introduced me into this crazy beautiful world.

Never used the JPT the 2nd moniker. Was a very skinny kid, especially after an accident on the ranch, put me down for a bit. Grew to 6 ft even, never considered myself “Big” but did fill out after reaching drinking age, for some reason?! 😊 “Big John” was a nickname that was bestowed on me by several friends, as an endearing term, but mostly there was usually another John in the group, of which I was the taller one. When the email world evolved, BigJohnPaulT@gmail was available and simple, without having to spell my last name several times!

In my late 50’s I swelled up to about 285 Lbs. I carried it well, but knew it was time to get back down to my usual 225, for health reasons, but mostly out of vanity! Mirrors are not kind and ruin our previously pleasant self-image. So, realizing that I had finally caught up to, and earned my “Big John” title, it was time to shed the title in body, if not in name!

After months of research, I went full on KETO, quit drinking cold turkey for 6 months, bounced off 195 lbs. for one day, then my body seems to settle at 225 lbs..ish.

So, AKA: “BigJohn”, “BigJohnPaulT”, “JohnPaulT”, “JohnPaul”, “Juan Pablo” or just” “John” are all Ok, believe me I have been called much worse! In my 60 plus years on God’s Green Earth! I answer to all or sometimes not at all! Depending on circumstances! 😉 (“John Paul Twarog Cardenas” is my official Mexican name as a Dual Citizen of the U.S.A. & Mexico due to mom’s ancestry. “Hablo Espanol Tambien!”)

…..I created this site to merge my different passions together with other hobbies and adventures, and hopefully create “FORMA” to share, and hopefully encourage others to enjoy, and do the same. …Take the Plunge! Step into the rest of your life, with things you love, and people you meet, and seek the Lords will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take! That is what led me here! Amen!
